1751-Dated Colonial Era, Official Imprint entitled, "Acts and Laws Passed by the Great and General Court or Assembly of His Majesty's Province of the Massachussetts-Bay in New-England", Published and Sold by Samuel Kneeland and Timothy Green, Boston, Very Fine.
This boldly printed First Edition, original imprint, 4 pages, is well printed on handmade rag paper, measures about11.5" x 7.5", and is illustrated with the State Emblem of Massachusetts. There is a small tear on the bottem edge of the final page, but the document is complete, clear, and crisp. A rare original historic printing of four laws passed by the General Court, one of the more important laws deals with the creation of new Towns and the steps they must follow to begin collecting Taxes. The second provides for the repair of the Lighthouse at the entrance to Boston Harbor which had been damaged by fire. Two others deal with court sessions at Concord and Nantucket. Printed by order of the Lieutenant Governor and Council by Samuel Kneeland and Timothy Green.
