1760-62 Connecticut Colonial Currency Notes Exchanged
July 2, 1764-Dated, Manuscript Colonial Connecticut Treasury Receipt, Specifying the 1760-62 Dates of CT Colonial Currency Notes Used to Purchase a Bill of Exchange, Choice Extremely Fine.
This Handwritten Colonial Document measures 4" x 8.25" being an official Connecticut Treasury Receipt. William Butler redeemed other CT notes of the issue dates of March 1760, March 1761, and March 1762, for a Bill of Exchange. Joseph Talcott has signed the receipt as Treasurer of the colony. This document is in very nice condition with a trivial .25" margin tear in the lower left. Blank reverse with docket. A very early original, Connecticut Colonial Currency related.
