This three-page (with second page double-sided) contract agreement is dated May 19, 1959. It begins with a cover page, signed by Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett, and agreed to with the signature of Julian Aberbach on behalf of Gladys Music and Elvis Presley Music Inc. This contract governs the world copyrights to all songs written by Tepper and Bennett for Elvis through May 1, 1963. This excludes "Lonesome Cowboy," written for the movie Loving You and "New Orleans," written for the movie King Creole, but includes all of the songs this prolific pair wrote for the movies G.I. Blues, Blue Hawaii, Follow That Dream, It Happened at the World's Fair, Girls! Girls! Girls! and Fun in Acapulco. The agreement comes with 10 sets of sheet music for songs written by Tepper and Bennett and recorded by Elvis in the mentioned contract period.
Roy Bennett and Sid Tepper were musical collaborators for more than 25 years and the partnership led to over 300 published compositions by various well-known entertainers, with 42 of their songs recorded by Elvis. The sheet music includes "G.I. Blues," "Relax," "Take Me to the Fair," "Boy Like Me, Girl Like You," "Song of the Shrimp," "The Walls Have Ears," "Angel," "The Bullfighter was a Lady," "Mexico" and "Vino, Dinero y Amor." The offered agreement measures 22 inches in length (55.88 cm), each sheet music measures 12 by 9 inches (30.48 x 22.86 cm) and the collection is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
Condition Report: The contract agreement is stapled in the upper left corner with two horizontal crease lines from folding and the pieces of sheet music are all in good condition overall.
