Looking for the realised and estimated price?

Description: Manufacturer: Gibson USA; Type of Item: Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar; Materials: Laminated maple, mahogany, Brazilian rosewood Fretboard, mother of pearl inlays; Color: Sunburst; Model: ES345TD; Production Date: 1964 made at Kalamazoo plant; Serial Number: 153677; Accessories: Newer hard case; Case Approximate Measurement: 44.125" x 17.5" x 4.25"; Approximate Weight: 8 lbs, 16 lbs w/ case; Note: Eric Clapton sold this gorgeous blues machine in 1999 at Christie’s to raise money for his foundation Crossroad. Jeff Covil acquired it and had it displayed in the Musical Instrument Museum of Phoenix. Researching into the instrument, we believe that this ES345 was owned by George Harrison who would have given it to E. Clapton around 1966 or 1967. We are currently in touch with Lee Dickson, E.C guitar tech from 1979 to 2009 who is trying to find evidence in his archives. We strongly believe that this guitar was gifted to Eric Clapton in 1967 1968 by his friend George Harrison. We have been working closely for months now with Lee Dickson who worked on the 1999 auction as well as many musicians and people from Harrison's and E.C entourage. Despite our relentless efforts we have not being able to find any evidence or records of the trade. What we know: After hours of digital enhancing of the pictures of Harrison's playing his ES345 this is what we found to support this theory. - Both guitars are ES345 stereo with plastic saddles. - close examination of the way the sunburst was sprayed is a match, and there are no wood grain, winter rings or any marks on the top that could clearly differentiate the instruments. - The case is a 1967 1968 gibson with key, same time EC gave Harrison "Lucy". - The lower part of the trapeze inlay at the 7th fret is considerably brighter on both guitars. Part of Jeff Covill s collection, the guitar has been displayed at the MiM in Phoenix until now.
