A bomb : that was the impact made by the DS when it was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1955. With its spectacular streamlined body, it was like nothing seen before, and made a clean break from traditional techniques. The chassis-platform and front-wheel drive allowed for a spacious interior, and the power-assisted steering and hydro-pneumatic suspension provided a level of comfort worthy of the top luxury marques. Today, the DS is considered by collectors around the world to be exceptional, for both its road-going qualities and the position it holds in the history of transport. The 'DS' name has become a marque of its own, the ultimate acknowledgement of its importance.

This DS 21 Pallas with a hydraulic gearbox has been serviced by the specialist Frédéric Daunat, in 2016. The alternator and suspension spheres are recent, the body is in a healthy state, and the black leather interior was redone, as well as the roof, as the grain of the vinyl is not that of the original, but is in good order. The Pallas' body trims are new and the floorpan looks to be in a good condition. This DS is ready to bring a lot of pleasure and comfort to its future owner
