More About this Item

Italian registration Chassis # 0005231 - In nice restored condition - Very rare and striking colour combination - Superb interior - Sought after 2,4 litre version Unveiled in 1967, the Fiat Dino was designed to be a true grand touring car, conceived to be driven with 4 passengers at high speeds, in excellent comfort and security. It was fitted with the 2-litre all-aluminium V6 derived from the racing Dino 196 engine developed by Ferrari. By 1969 the 2,4-litre version was introduced with an iron engine block, which also fitted on the Ferrari Dino 246 incidentally. Suspension was improved by adapting the Fiat 130 Coupé´s suspension and rear axle. All those features provided a relaxed driving experience with more torque produced at lower revs. More sought after than the 2000 version, it is also difficult to find a 2400 example in such nice condition as most of them were not very well looked after during the 80s and 90s because high restoration costs and therefore many examples have rusted away. The car on offer has been recently restored to very high standards. Today it is presented in smashing condition in its beautiful pale yellow paint combined with a superb dark brown leather interior. This must be one of the nicest examples available on the market.
