More About this Item

Description: 1981 Volkswagen Golf GTi 16S Oettinger No reserve Carte grise française Châssis n°WVWZZZ17ZCW153098 - Rare version Oettinger - Moteur refait en 2013 - Peinture refaite - Intérieur en bel état - Sans réserve La Golf GTi 16 soupapes à culasse Oettinger est l'ultime évolution de la mythique Golf GTi. French registration Chassis # WVWZZZ17ZCW153098 - Rare Oettinger version - Engine rebuilt in 2013 - Paint redone - Interior in a beautiful state - No reserve The Golf GTi 16-valve cylinder head Oettinger is ultimate evolution of the legendary Golf GTi. Just 1,250 were produced and its main originality is the cylinder head atop the 1.6-litre engine. A real masterpiece, the engine develops 136bhp at 6500rpm, with V-max at almost 200km/h. Today it is difficult to find one, the beautiful examples in original configuration have become true collectibles. The one on offer is one of few survivors. Its engine received a complete overhaul in 2013: sleeves, segmentation, replacement of bearing rods, crankshaft, valve seats, seals and guides and the distributor redone. Invoices from 2014 indicate that the top engine was checked then, with the valves adjusted and settings tightened. The body has been repainted, while the interior is consistent with the original and is in good condition. The original ATS rims are shod with tyres that are in a good state. This is a beautiful specimen whose mechanicals have been completely redone recently, ensuring pleasure and enjoyment for an enthusiast who will surely be seduced by this model which is becoming extremely rare.
