Description: FRANCE, LATE 19TH CENTURY A French Richard & Cie Neoclassical and Egyptian revival black slate mantle clock. The classical style architectural case is adorned with a horizontal bronze frieze of Greco-Roman soldiers surmounted by a figural female crest. The Arabic numeral dial is book ended by female Egyptian winged figures. The base is decorated with a incised floral design. The movement bears the impressed R&C mark.
Condition Report: Minor fretting to sharp corners of black marble case, no key, springs wind nicely and appears to run, clock will need to be cleaned and set by professional as it is estate fresh.
Dimensions: Case measures 17 1/4" wide by 6 /4" deep by 12 1/2"" tall. Face with bronze bezel 5" diameter.
