Description: A lot of 2 Roman/Romano-Celtic bronze brooches. A Roman brooch in the form of a bird and a Romano-Celtic bronze element. The first is a Roman bronze zoomorphic brooch, c. 2nd Century AD, the body in the form of a bird, the head in the form of a feline. L: 3.8 cm. The second piece is a Romano-Celtic bronze element, c. 1st c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, the terminals in the form of bull's heads, a tubular sheath at center for mounting. L: 2 1/2 in (6.3 cm). Dark olive patina. Ex North Carolina private collection.
