Condition / Notes: This is the "lifetime edition" of this work. The antique set is bound in green leather with stamped gilt lettering/ornamentation on the covers and spines. There is moderate rubbing, scuffing, and chipping to the exteriors, heaviest at the extremities. The bindings are sound. The books have marbled endpapers with the bookplate of the Schorsch library affixed to the front pastedowns. The first volume contains a frontispiece portrait of More. Each title page displays a vignette of the author's home. The pages show moderate age toning and scattered foxing.
