Description: Spode Fitzhugh Blue Coffee Pot, Cream and Sugar service. The coffee pot is the 7 3/8" 5 cup size, the creamer is 3" and the sugar bowl and lid 3 7/8". The service is in excellent, like new condition, the weight to ship 3 pds 12 oz. The Fitzhugh china pattern originates from three representatives of two generations of Fitzhughs of the English branch who became sea captains and even a Director of the British East India Company. Senior officers of the EIC were allowed to trade on their own account, and during the period 1704-1790s they shipped much of the pattern to England.
