Description: Iron helmet bowl of 62 flat suji plates, the plates studded with small pointed hoshi (rivets). Russet iron surface with distinctive pitted corrosion. Inscribed "Hachiman Dai Bosatsu, Myochin Nobuiye". Four-stage, part-gilt tehen kanamono and agemaki-no-kan with red agemaki. The surface of the mabezashi pitted, the leather of the fukigaeshi replaced. Replaced, six-lame iron hineno shikoro with black leather cover, beige sugake lacing. Renewed helmet lining. Helmet band missing. Height 27.5 cm, width 38 cm.
