Description: Six-panel screen, ink, colour and gold leaf on paper. Exceptional depiction of a winding brook between rocks with blooming mulberry branches and thistles. The dark blue brook with many details, the waves and wafts of mist painted in gold. On the lower right a red unidentified artist's seal. Frame of beige brocade, the back panel printed with a brown kari pattern, the edges reinforced with finely engraved brass mounts. Partially somewhat bumped, slightly blotched and touched up. Dimensions 376 x 171 cm. Extremely decorative screen in the style of Kano Sansetsu (1589 - 1651).
