Description: Very light suit of armour made of elaborately lacquered leather. Go mai hotoke do with the three-dimensional portrayal of a gold dragon in takamaki-e on aogai ground. The top and bottom of the breast plate covered with gilt, heavily grained leather. Parts laced in blue, red and white and with ivory toggles and decorated with the momiji mon of the Oyagi clan. A pair of fine Kaga shinokote with the typical Kaga applications of blossoms and scrolling leaves, inscribed "Kashu Ju Munenao", brocade backing heavily worn and improperly fastened. Unusual gyorin chu sode with scales of lacquered leather in the shape of oak leaves on a base of printed leather. The parts of the armour with varying signs of age and use and partially improper repairs. Attention – shipping to non-EU countries subject to CITES regulations
