Condition Report: Measurements: 231cm horizontally across the top, 227cm. horizontally across the bottom, 244cm. vertically up the left side, 244cm. vertically up the right side. Reduced in width. Lined with linen and cotton sleeve across the top for a batten. Recommend Velcro attached across the top for hanging purposes in the future. The left and right hand vertical outer blue selvedges are 16th century. The upper and lower outer selvedges are later machine made selvedges. Tapestry with evenly faded colours overall. Surface dirt overall and some dark spots in top left corner of foliage.Tapestry reduced in size in past. Old reweaving to the light ground of border in areas. There are extensive small areas of reweaving. Reweaving often to light areas or highlights of dark edges, as visible on close inspection. Tapestry restored in past. In stable condition structurally. Decorative tapestry of good size.
