Description: Heavy iron helmet bowl formed of four plates in the form of a three-dimensionally worked crouching shishi. Repatinated surface, the eyes applied with sawari and shakudo. Fukurin mabezashi with elaborately crafted shakudo kuwagatadai. Uninscribed. Three-lame ko manju shikoro of iron, dark patinated. Rare blue internal sugake lacing. The fukurin trimmed fukigaeshi with dragon silver nunome. Original helmet lining. Blue, replaced helmet cord. Height 28 cm, width 36 cm.
