Description: wool, pile
Overall measurements: 124cm across the top, 129cm across the bottom, 287cm along left side, 288cm along right side Generally very good condition, lustrous wool with intense richly dyed, glowing colour. Pile varies from 5 - 8mm in the border and generally 3 - 8mm in the field. Knot collars are visible in the the yellow pile, adjacent to areas of oxidisation outlining. The lower areas of pile are generally down the centre of the rug. Upper end with some minor restoration to the ivory flatwoven end finishes and to the dark blue outermost guard border. Minor restoration to the side cords. Some very minor old restoration to foldwear lines in a couple of places, but overall the carpet is in very smart condition. Please note the illustration in the printed catalogue is upside down, however it is correct on-line. Clean tidy and ready to use.
