Description: Slender double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section with fine, undamaged stabbing point. The base of the blade with small fuller on each side struck with inscription "ANDREA FERARO". The sturdy ricasso with struck decorative lines and cross marks. Quillons slightly curved towards the blade, with spirally grooved finials. Finger guard with slanted thumb guard on each side. Stepped grip with original leather cover over cord wrap, minor flaw in the leather. Round pommel decorated with helical grooves. Applied, helically grooved finial. Length 126 cm. Rare, early riding sword in perfect, untouched condition.
