Description: Iron tsunari helmet bowl in Saiga style, the obverse with stylised eyebrows in uchidashi, the helmet bowl in the form of a Shinto priest's hat, made in dry lacquer technique. Six-lame, finely curved iron and black lacquered hineno shikoro with leather sugake lacing, kuginuki mon on the fukigaeshi, the same mon as maidate. Lacquer surfaces partially brittle. Height 42 cm, width 34 cm.
