Description: Cal. .44 Henry (.44 RF), no. 3669. Octagonal barrel, partially lightly rough bore with good rifling, length 24" (61 cm). 16 shots. Manufactured in 1863. Receiver sights scaled up to 8. Complete magazine, spring in good order. Barrel top with two-line marking "HENRY'S PATENT. OCT. 16. 1860 / Manufact'd by the New Haven Arms Co. New Haven, Ct.". On right side of barrel root inspector's acceptance mark "C.G.C." (Charles G. Chapman), also blurred on right side of stock (start of stock wrist). Various acceptance marks "H" (B. Tyler Henry). Bright bore with tubular magazine. Brass action case. Hammer and underlever spotted. Walnut stock with few usage marks. Brass butt cap with integrated cleaning rod compartment, inserted steel four-part cleaning/discharging rod with brass tip, wrapped in linen. Good to very good overall condition. Length 111 cm.
