Description: Single-edged blade with broad fullers on both sides and broadened, double-edged point. The base on both sides etched with (rubbed) figures and Latin inscription. Silver quillons with crosspiece, ebony grip carved with fish scale pattern and ending in a bearded male head pommel. Velvet-covered (somewhat worn) wooden scabbard, the silver fittings on both sides finely chased with tendril ornaments and richly decorated with set turquoises and almandines. The central fitting with chased Hungarian coat of arms. Both sturdy suspension rings and the chape with 13 Loth inspection mark of Budapest. High-quality workmanship, six settings with stones are missing. Length 102.5 cm.
