Description: wool, pile
245cm across the top, 251cm across the bottom, 310cm from the left, 338cm from the right. Slightly splayed. Generally even 3-4mm pile overall. with scattered areas of pile down to knotheads, for example to the central horizontal side motifs. There are signs of old, inactive, moth, for example top left edge of border - as visible in the photograph. A small area of repair also visible in this area. Lacking lower outer-guard, some vestiges remain, presently overlocked with cotton fringing. Top end overlocked with with vestiges of cotton fringing. Original sidecords with some later sections. This is a robust, well scaled, decorative carpet.
