Description: Blade shinogi zukuri, chu kissaki, very flat torii zori. O notare hamon. Even ko mokume hada, ko maru boshi with deep kaeri. Partially slight scratches and rust spots. Nakago suriage, three mekugi ana, kiri and sujikai yasurime, tachimei, inscribed kiku mon/"Yamashiro Kami" (then cut off), probably "Kunikiyo". Silvered, grooved copper habaki. Black lacquer saya speckled with chopped bamboo fibres. Fuchi kashira of shakudo with a kaki blossom design and gilt details. Marugata iron tsuba with remnants of gold nunome. Tsuka fitted with same and mounted with a pair of part-gilt myogam menuki, simple beige silk cord wrap. Mounting from the late Edo period, circa 1870. Length k/m 77.4 cm, total length 101 cm.
