Description: A large blue and white jar and cover Ming dynasty, Wanli period
of ovoid form, the sides painted with four large lappet panels enclosing different flowering plants growing beside ornamental rocks, reserved on a blue wan diaper ground, divided by strapwork, all below a frieze of similar smaller panels of peach and flowers on the shoulders and a lappet band at the base, the wide mouth with chased metal mount and the matching cover with wood knop and inner metal mount
