Description: Two-piece figure of part-gilt bronze. Seated Amida, his hands in the join (meditation) mudra. Inserted at back a ring-shaped aureola with three small Amida figures. The face, chest, hands and aureola are fire-gilt, the other surfaces dark patinated. At back undeciphered foundry stamp. The inside with five Bonji characters: Dai Nichi Nyorai (Omnipresent Buddha) Kokuzo Bosatsu or Kosan Sei Myo (Deep Love) Daiji Saiten (Well Being and Freedom) Bassrei Taishi (Expelling Evil) Shaka (The Big Buddha). On a double lotus base of finely carved hardwood. Height of the figure 75 cm, with base and aureola 130 cm.
