Lot 1263: A LARGE EMPIRE GILT-BRONZE AND CUT GLASS EIGHTEEN-LIGHT CHANDELIER CIRCA 1820 |
26 October 2016
London, United KingdomLive Auction
Description: glass, metal
Very impressive. Gallery inspection recommended. Corona is squint but easily fixed. Would benefit from workshop attention and will need to be professionally re-wired. Some lustres and glass beads missing. Including a row of faceted pendants to the underside of each drip-pan. Elements possibly re-configured, if this is the case, it does not detract. Gilt-metal elements tarnished.
