Description: 8¼-inch cartouche enamel dial, the bell striking movement with five vase-turned pillars, re-conversion to verge escapement and silk suspension, numbered small outside count wheel mounted high on the backplate , pierced steel striking gates, signed on the backplate Margotin A Paris, the case veneered with red shell and inlaid with foliate scrolls, the concave-sided cresting with flambeau finials above a mount of Apollo in his chariot flanked by female corner terms, on paw feet

Condition Report: Dial in good condition, small crack to V. Movement is complete, re-conversion to verge escapement and silk suspension, replaced bell hammer detached but we have it, would benefit from a clean and fresh oil. Case in generally good condition, left side glass loose, some discolouration to gilding. With pendulum, winder and case key.
