Description: 9¼-inch twelve-piece enamel cartouche dial, signed on two enamel plaques Gosselin, A Paris, the bell striking movement with five vase-turned pillars, verge escapement with silk suspension and cycloidal cheeks, the numbered small outside count wheel mounted high on the backplate, pierced steel striking gates, signed on the backplate Gosselin A Paris, the case veneered with brown shell inlaid with trellis and foliate scrolls, the altered cupola surmount above foliate mounts and mask feet; together with a similar though associated bracket
Dial with cracks to V and replaced VI, hair cracks to both signature plaques, surface rusting to hands, hand collet missing. Movement appears to be complete but is much in need of a clean and service. Case has replaced surmount, some minor cracks to veneers, mounts are dirty and with some verdigris, left glass side panel loose. Bracket as the case. No pendulum, winder or case key.
