Description: Grand ceremonial version with parade lion. Helmet skull of nickel silver (small dents) with gilt fittings (rubbed), edge trim and surrounding rivets. Applied large Bavarian coat of arms surmounted by a crown. Chinscales with original leather backing on embossed crown rosettes. The cruciform base plate made of several pieces and richly decorated with ornaments, striding lion (no numbers underneath the paws). The underside of the front visor lacquered in green, the rear visor with remnants of black lacquer and small soldered plate embossed with number "49", the skull stamped "23" and "8" on the crown near the vacant hole for the plume holder. Brown leather lining and two screws for the attachment of the lion later replacements. Lightly damaged in parts, signs of wear and age. Extremely rare.
