Description: A man with an early typewriter, identified in pen on bottom margin as “Eugene Cass with his typewriter.” He doesn’t seem to be a secretary, but is writing a letter. It might have been unusual in this period for someone to own a typewriter at home, and thus it’s recorded in this cabinet card. By S. E. Dunham, Sumner, Iowa.
