Description: Iron suji kabuto of 32 plates in sabinuri lacquer, five-stage tehen kanamono, five-lame, lacquered hineno shikoro of kizuke kozane with blue sugake lacing. Iron Nara mempo, also in sabinuri lacquer with three-lame yodare kake, sabinuri with blue sugake lacing. Light ni mai hishi nui do of iron bands with a dragon and hishi nui décor in gold lacquer. Six four-lame leather kusazuri, lacquered red and gold, removable. Blue and murasaki coloured kebiki lacing. Six-lame, black lacquered chu sode in kizuke kozane with blue kebiki lacing. Plain kusari kote with ikada. Haidate with iron iyo sewn to brocade silk. Black lacquered shinosuneate with kusari. With a pair of bear fur shoes. A composite suit of armour assembled from parts made between the middle and late Edo period. Lacquer surfaces and lacings partially damaged, iron parts with signs of corrosion in places.
