Description: A pair of late George III ebonised and polychrome painted beech elbow chairs, circa 1810, with floral reserves to cresting rail and gilt banding to frames, each 89cm high, 53cm wide, 54cm deep Provenance: Baron Robert Rothschild and thence by descent. One arm upright detached with joints broken, see photographs Old leg joints repaired, with metal brackets used to reinforce the frame repair Paint appears original, it is rubbed to the arms and the front legs with nicks and losses overall Old cane holes to interior seat rails not used, recaned and in good order Missing finials to uprights
