Description: Round barrels with flattened midrib, smooth bores in 15 mm calibre. Engraved decoration and inscription "Lazaro Lazarino" at the breech. Tangs engraved with tendril decoration. Slightly domed lock plates, roots and frizzen pans with chiselled acanthus leaves. Signed "GIO A SE" in the engraved leaf cartouche. Richly pierced side plates decorated with scrolling leaves and grotesque masks. Walnut full stocks with chiselled, iron furniture. Pommel caps with female portrait cartouches surrounded by wreaths. Inserted wooden ramrods with iron tips. Length of each pistol 53.5 cm. The abbreviated signature can possibly be ascribed to the Lombard gunsmith Giacomo Soier of Senigallia, who verifiably worked there around 1697. Cf. Heer, Der neue Stöckel, p. 1191.

Condition Report: II

Notes: Kurzwaffen Steinschloss und Perkussion
