Description: Octagonal then round, smooth barrels in 14 mm calibre, each with double, brass-inlaid mark at the breech. Florally engraved, converted percussion locks. Stocks made of gilt silver profusely decorated with flowers and ornaments in relief, with barrel sleeves and indicated ramrods. Splendid pair of pistols in beautiful condition. Length of each 50 cm. Cf. Robert Elgood, The Arms of Greece, New York, 2009, no. 244, with a very similar flintlock pistol. On each butt painted exhibition no. of the Franklin Museum in Pennsylvania / USA.
