Description: Cal. 9 mm Parabellum, no. 8895s. Matching numbers including firing pin and grip panels, lightly matt bore. Chamber with marked double year "1917/18", on front toggle link "Krone / Erfurt". Various imperial acceptance marks. Original bluing thinner on barrel, trigger plate with holster marks. Small and operational parts completely strawed. Beechwood grip panels. Matching-numbered, as new, nickel-plated sheet metal magazine with wooden base. Unusual and extraordinary collector's item in good to very good condition with parts from 1918 manufacture. An identical P. 08 with no. 8825s is depicted and described in Still, Imperial Lugers, p. 78, where this pistol is pointed out to be the only one of its kind. Comes with lightly worn, dark brown cowhide holster, maker "Hans Römer / 1918 / Neu-Ulm". Stitches and pull strap in good order. Erlaubnispflichtig The Luger Collection Joop van de Kant.
