Description: A ROMAN BRONZE FIGURE OF HYGEIA
THE GODDESS OF HEALTH 2nd-3rd century CE. The standing goddess is wearing a chiton and is holding a serpent. Hygeia appears on several city coins minted in the Roman Period in Israel, such as in Tiberias (see lot 48 above). With nice brown patina and in good condition (one arm is missing). 9.8 cm high. Ex Israel Rosen collection, Tel-Aviv.
