Toporkov Aleksandr (1896-1995) was a Soviet Avant-garde painter, graphic artist and designer. Toporkov graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry in 1918. He studied in VHUTEMAS from Aleksey Grishchenko. He was a member of Avant-garde group "Tsvetodinamos". He participated in group exhibition of VKhUTEMAS professors with Aleksey Gritchenko (Color-Dynamics) and Alexander Shevchenko (Tectonic Primitivism) in 1919.
