For images of pile difference please request further images from the department. There are some horizontal splits in the top left corner of the main field, approx. 9cm longest and 2cm. shortest, visible from the catalogue image. A further group of splits centre left side of main field, the largest approx 9cm. at longest and 3cm shortest these will need some attention. There is a small length of the warp thread showing as horizontal line of 2cm in the centre of the main field. Some very minor scattered areas of weakness through to foundation in other areas. Some losses at both ends lacking fringing, some losses to corners, not overlocked, strip of green herringbone tape the reverse of the top - this is coming loose.
