Within the ivory main field the central section has slightly lower pile, there are some original warp knots showing through. Both ends backed with linen strip, ends with soumac overlocking and warp fringing. Top end with additional indigo flatweave and warp fringing. This is a particularly striking piece a rare blind ivory field; the natural abrash is balanced beautifully with the colourful palmette border, which includes small geometric motifs within the upper and lower borders.
