Description: Iron half tatami kabuto formed of five plates with a helmet bowl of heavy folding segments with attached cheek guards. Silver nunome decoration in the form of clouds and kiri. Dark blue cloth shikoro with internal iron tekko plates. Tatami do composed of two types of iron plates connected by kusari. The upper chest plate with kiri mon, the lower hexagonal plates with red sumitate yotsume mon. All iron parts with irregular sawari decoration and lined with gilt leather on the interior. Ten five-lame kusazuri of lacquered leather with leather sugake lacing, the interior also gilt. Kusari ikada kote with russet iron surface and sawari decoration. The tekko decorated with so mons. Worked en suite to the do kusari iyohaidate on printed linen, the top part sewn with namban sukari. Kusari suneate worked in the same style. Brocade and cloth parts worn and with signs of age, partially minor repairs and replacements, some fastening loops and toggles missing. Tatami gusoku of exceptional quality. The different mon applied to the armour indicate an association with the So clan. This clan brought forth the daimyo of Fuchu in the Tsushima province.
