Description: Artist: LEONETTO CAPPIELLO (1875-1942) Size: 46 1/8 x 62 7/8 in./117 x 159.8 cm Imp. Devambez, Paris This Cappiello design is special for a variety of reasons. First, it represents one of the few images he created for an American product. Second, it is so rare that it does not even appear in his catalogue raisonné, but seems to reflect his 1920s compositional style. Adams is considered by many historians to be the inventor of chewing gum before joining forces with Wrigley.
