Description: Tachi blade shortened to katana length by o suriage. Shinogi zukuri, chu kissaki, deep torii zori. Weak ko-midare hamon based on suguha. Wide bohi on both sides, extending to the kissaki. Hada and boshi over-polished, not recognisable. Strong signs of fatigue, partially traces of corrosion and chippings at the edge. Nakago with three mekugi ana, kiri yasurime, o suriage. Uninscribed. Silver-plated habaki with nekogaki. Nashiji lacquer saya with kiri mon in gold lacquer. Shakudo mounts with kiri mon on nanako ground, the original tsuba replaced by a modern katana tsuba. Tsuka fitted with same and mounted with a pair of part-gilt shakudo kiri mon menuki. Black silk cord wrap with glued repairs. Mounting from the late Edo period. Length k/m 68.8 cm, total length 100 cm.
