Description: Heavy tachi blade, ubu, shinogi zukuri, chu kissaki, torii zori. Wide choji hamon, hada and boshi not recognisable due to over-polishing. Kissaki damaged, the blade partially stained. Nakago ubu, two mekugi ana, kiri yasurime. Gilt copper habaki. Nashiji lacquer saya, plain engraved brass mounts with remnants of silver plating. Gilt brass tsuba in Shoami style with roped edge, wave design and cruciform face. The tsuka fitted with same and mounted with a pair of part-gilt menuki formed as shishi and peony. Restored blue green silk cord wrap. Length k/m 80.4 cm, total length 115 cm.
