Description: the waisted dark-green jade hilt with carved flutes and inlaid with gold lines and bands of split-palmettes, the straight double-edged steel blade with carved foliate motifs and wholly decorated with gold inscriptions and foliate details, the carved and chased silver scabbard adorned with emeralds, rubies and diamonds on one side, in customised velvet-lined wood box
In overall good condition, some of the jewelled stones later replaced, foil-backed. The scabbard with some of enamelling between the gem-set design peeling off and discolored, small pin with crescent-moon form to middle of scabbard loose (would need re-affixing), the blade with some minor scratches and oxidisation, the velvet and silk lined box with some wear to interior and fraying, the exterior with some knicks, as viewed.
