These were used as the scabbard for a katana, and features a sleek carved wooden blade, intricate braiding along the handle atop stingray leather, and a gilded fitting in the motif of a sea creature on either side. Finished with a bronze seppa with wave formed design. CIRCA: 18th-19th Ct.
