Description: Antonio Bandeira Original oil on canvas 50 x 78 cm. Hand signed. This painting is a transposition of things past, present and future. Antonio Bandeira (1922-1967) was a painter and Brazilian designer. He is one of the most valued Brazilian painters and has works in major private collections in museums in Brazil and the world. He was part of the Modernist Movement of Fortaleza, in the 1940s. In 1946, with the French Government scholarship, he traveled to Paris, where he has the opportunity to study at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts and the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere. Renowned master of Brazilian abstract painting - and master of watercolors - lived most of his life in France. Coexisted with the painters of traditional École de Paris, integrating them fully until his return to Brazil in 1960. He died in Paris, from a tonsil extraction operation.
