Pagine [12], 345, [31]; 213, [15] con antiporta, 21 incisioni a piena pagina e 7 tavole ripiegate incise in rame fuori testo. Minime bruniture ma buon esemplare. Legatura ottocentesca in pelle, sguardie marmorizzate, titoli in oro al dorso. Prima edizione di queste due opere sulla storia delle calzature dai tempi più antichi fino al Medioevo. Di particolare importanza la prima illustrazione conosciuta a stampa degli attacchi da sci, raffigurati nella tavola ripiegata fuori testo di pagina 41 della prima opera. Two parts in one volume. 12° (132x72 mm). [12], 345, [31]; 213, [15] pages with frontispiece, 21 engravings full page and 7 folding plates engraved on copper out of text. Few browning but a fair copy. Nineteenth-century leather, marbled flyleaves, gilt titles on the spine. First edition of these two works about the history of footwear from ancient times to the Middle Ages. Of particular importance is the first known depiction in the press of ski bindings, depicted in the folding plate out of the text of page 41 of the first work.
