The bronze is in very good condition, showing traces of use on the underside of the plinth. The height of the figure, including the plinth, is 12 cm.
Berndt Wilde (b. 1946)
Born in Dessau, Berndt Wilde studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. From 1980 to 1983, he completed a master class with Werner Stötzer at the Academy of Arts of the GDR. From 1991 to 1992 he held a teaching position for stone sculpture at the Art School in Berlin-Weissensee. From 1992 to 1993, he eventually taught drawing at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Since 1993, Wilde has been a professor of sculpture at the Art School in Berlin-Weissensee. (tm)
