An Iranian Bidjar. Centrally stands a small rosette inside a rhomb, following the Herati motif. The central medallion is placed inside a large eight-petalled rosette that is again surrounded by two long black and red rhombs. The corners adorn pretty floral designs. The eight-row border depicts a black-primed main border with plant ornaments. Carpets from Bidjar are known for their fine and very robust weaving techniques.
The condition is age-according very good. The carpet measures 1.49 x 1.11 m.
