Sturdily potted porcelain vessel, with heavy toward the rounded shoulder, gently tapered to the prominent short neck with wide opening, raised on flat base. The exterior decorated in various rich tones in cobalt blue hand painting within four medallions depicting noble figures with his attendants in various pursuit within terraced garden landscape, interspersed with dense of morning glory blooms within leafy tropical foliate. The underside base left unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground with burnt orange and darker spots in the firing.
Mark on collar, a seal mark, of six blue script characters enclosed within rectangular frame, WanLi Reign Period of Great Ming.
